Welcome to Posada del Lago! Barranco Blanco (the white gorge) has become an insider tip for tourists in Andalusia in recent years and we would like to invite you to our lakeside guest house.

The Rio (river) Alaminos runs through this gorge, located between the Sierra de Michas and the Alpujata, where there are many small bathing areas with crystal clear and cool water over a section of several hundred meters. The existing waterfalls invite you to take a shower.

The white gorge has lush vegetation, consisting of oleander, pine and carob trees, weeping willows, juniper bushes, etc. At dusk you will also discover a wide variety of wild animals such as ibexes, deer, foxes and wild boars, which quench their thirst on the riverbank. The fastidious otter, which only lives in crystal-clear water, or the endangered common barbel are also found in the river. Therefore, the European Union has declared this place a Site of Community Interest (LIC).

As soon as you have passed the entrance to our earthly paradise, you will quickly realize that you will not only spend your stay here in complete isolation from the outside world, but that you can really let your soul dangle with us. We have spared no effort to make your stay feel like home.

You rent our holiday home with 7 bedrooms and facilities as described above. It can therefore accommodate 14 people.
The minimum rental period is 2 days. We would be happy to make you an individual offer, even if you need fewer rooms.
Pets can be brought at no extra charge.

Our service

We won't leave you alone, because we, Viktor and Maria, live in a separate part of the house. We are at your side with advice and action on request and we discreetly take care of the cleanliness and maintenance of the finca (swimming pool, terraces, waste disposal, etc.) during your stay, so that you can really have a holiday. If you have any further requests, we are happy to help among friends (such as airport transfers, shopping services and other things).

How do I find the posada?

THE STAY OF YOUR DREAM, SO SECRET AND YET SO NEAR

The villages of Alhaurin el Grande and Coin with many cozy bars and restaurants are about 6-9 km/12-17 min from the posada. It is approx. 35 km/40 mins to Malaga airport. Alhaurin golf course is approx. 8 km/15 mins and the leisure center Plaza Major, Malaga, Los Alamosca beach is approx. 35 km/40 mins. It is approx. 30 km/35 min to the city of Marbella-Puerto Banus with the beach and approx. 20-30 km/30-40 min to the city of Fuengirola/Torremolinos. Other destinations are the Benalmadena marina (approx. 30 km/45 min) , Mijas Pueblo y Costa (approx. 15 km/25 min) and the Science Park Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía, PTA (approx. 30 km/24 min).
